About Me

 

Alison Baird is a writer residing in Ontario, Canada. As an author she had an early start, publishing poems when she was only 12.  Her first book, The Dragon's Egg (Scholastic Canada), was a national bestseller and a Regional Winner of the Silver Birch Award.  Her other books include The Hidden World, The Wolves of Woden, and the Willowmere Chronicles trilogy, all published by Penguin; White as the Waves (Tuckamore Books), which was shortlisted for the IODE Violet Downey Book Award;  and the Dragon Throne trilogy (Warner Aspect). She has also released several titles under her independent imprints, Salon Books and Revenant. 

 

In addition to her books, Baird has pubiished numerous works of short fiction.  Her story "Dragon Pearl" received an Honourable Mention in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror published by St. Martin's Press.
